another piece my father painted that i grew up looking at. much more from him the world still needs to see. he's never even had a gallery showing.

I've been friends with hill for a long time and watched his artistic style grow. he comes from a family of sick artists so it's only natural that he can throw down some crazy pieces like these 2. expect more posts of his work in the future.

One of my favorites from alex, one look isn't good
enough.

A pattern drawn in pen, scanned into photo shop, and then added color.

Always Rollin to the skate park on 26's; Conner throws down on paper. Every time you look at this piece, you see a detail you hadn't seen before.
-David Maiefski
still not sure if i've finished this one. it's one of the bigger pieces i've done. around 3 by 4.5 feet. painted with acrylics on fiberboard.

i was drinking wine and scotch while the exact locations of these photos were discussed so i don't remember where they were taken. there were a lot more that went along with these but i felt like these 3 were some of the most moving ones. they documented the problems going on between israel and palestine.

i recently made a trip to the east coast for my brothers graduation from princeton. we also visited my grandparents who live 45 minutes away from the university. their house is a gold mine of family art. i spent 2 or 3 hours snooping around finding different pieces and photographing them. these 2 were by my uncle preston. there will definitely be more posts to come from art in that house.

my buddy sean sullivan told me to look at colby's pieces and i was impressed. especially with these two.

jeff recently won best in show at the university of utah student art show with the piece at the bottom of these three titled "human nature." the actual painting is around 5 by 10 feet. a big strength in jeff's work is the scale of the pieces he does. his style is also very original.

david makes some of the craziest t shirts i've ever seen. they're sick as fuck.

this is a painting my cousin caitilin did. look at how the crashing waves turn into clouds.. amazing. see more of her work at

these photos were taken by a friend of a friend. i saw my friend aaron holland looking at them in class and they looked fucking sick. i found out they were taken by a girl named jessie wood at a music festival called coachella.... on her cell phone. art can come from anywhere.

got some more art from david. a lot of good work like always. this one really caught my eye though. the background is really interesting.. it's almost perfect. but it's the slight imperfections that make it really unique. the variety in size of a few of the different bars create these thin brown lines that give the background motion. that combined with the interesting still character in the foreground give it the feeling of a passing subway train with colorful lights. or some shit like that.

these are some photos i took of sketches in my sketchbook then edited in photoshop. i've been exploring the use of patterns more and more throughout this past year.
